Zusana Valenzuela (Corrientes, 1955) is a visual artist based in Buenos Aires. Her practice explores the relationship between the body, memory, and materiality.
She studied photography at the Escuela Argentina de Fotografía and continued her training with Alicia D’Amico, Gabriel Valansi, Rafael Navarro (Spain), and Phil Borges (USA). In painting and drawing, she studied under Ernesto Pesce and Juan Astica at both the Asociación de Amigos del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes and the National University of the Arts (IUNA).
Her work is marked by thick layers of oil paint, gestural strokes, and vivid color palettes. It evokes the essence of rivers, red soil, and lush vegetation, with each piece embodying a corporeal memory in constant flux.
She has exhibited in the province of Misiones and at various spaces in Buenos Aires, including Nexo Arte, Espacio 10, Art Hotel, Casa Quintana Diseño y Arte, La Bolsa de Comercio, Galería Central Newbery, and the University of Belgrano.
